Security officers may assist with lockdowns or evacuations depending on site procedures.

Actions may include:

  • Notifying occupants.
  • Directing people away from danger.
  • Locking or securing access points if safe.
  • Keeping people away from affected areas.
  • Communicating safe routes.
  • Avoiding actions that expose the officer or others to danger.
