Emergency Communication

Clear communication is critical.

Officers should provide:

  • Location of the threat.
  • Description of suspect if known.
  • Weapon information if known.
  • Direction of travel.
  • Number and condition of injured persons.
  • Safe entry points for law enforcement.
  • Officer location and status.

Avoid spreading rumors or unconfirmed information.
