Evacuation Procedures

Security officers may help direct people during an evacuation. The officer should remain calm and provide clear instructions.

Important practices:

  • Direct people to exits.
  • Do not use elevators during fire evacuation.
  • Keep exits and paths clear.
  • Assist visitors or confused occupants when safe.
  • Report anyone refusing to evacuate.
  • Do not re-enter unsafe areas.
